Marc Fenton commenced as Acting Chief Information Officer at Energy Queensland in March 2026. In this role, Marc leads the organisation’s digital strategy, information technology, cyber security and information management functions, supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operation of Energy Queensland’s networks and services.
Marc is an experienced enterprise technology and transformation executive with deep expertise leading large‑scale change across complex, asset‑intensive organisations. He brings a strong track record in stabilising operating environments, strengthening cyber and risk foundations, and resetting operating models to deliver sustainable performance outcomes.
Prior to joining Energy Queensland, Marc held senior executive technology roles across listed and private organisations with a focus on strengthening governance, risk and cyber foundations. He brings extensive experience in senior digital leadership, including responsibility for global digital strategy, enterprise architecture, governance, and large‑scale ERP and cloud transformation programs, with strong engagement at board and audit and risk committee level on technology, cyber security and enterprise risk.
Marc holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Applications from Dublin City University and has a Graduate Diploma in Management from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
