Ruth Coulson was appointed to the Executive Leadership Team as Chief Financial Officer in August 2025 and, in September 2026, commenced as Acting Executive General Manager, People, Property and Safety.
Ruth is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years’ experience in delivering major transformation and change initiatives to optimise operational, financial, and strategic outcomes.
After starting her career in the accounting profession at a major international accounting firm, Ruth gained deep experience working with large complex infrastructure organisations across both Australian and global markets.
In these dual roles, Ruth is responsible for leading the Business Services and People, Property & Safety (PP&S) functions. As CFO, Ruth leads the Procurement and Supply, Financial Control, Business Process Improvement, and Financial Performance & Analysis groups. As A/EGM PP&S, she leads Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Safety, Environment & Cultural Heritage, Corporate Shared Services, Property and Security functions.
Ruth holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
